We are Scent Candle Co. Our scents were inspired by the memories of growing up in the the carribbean. We believe that the power of fragrance can transport us anywhere in the world and we are commited to bringing the beauty of the carribean into your home.

Our candles are hand crafted natural soy wax and premium fragrance oils infused with essential oils and lead-free cotton wicks for a clean burn. Our candles are cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and petroleum-free.

Candle Care + Q & A

Your candle will burn better and last longer if you take these extra steps:

Keep candle away from things that catch fire, children and pets. During the first burn, ensure the candle wax melts to the edges. This will ensure an even burn throughout your candle's life. Trim wick to 1/4" before each light. Do not burn candle longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when only 1/4" wax remains. Please reuse, repurpose or recycle our candle jars.

WHY SOY WAX?

- Soy wax is a natural, vegan, non-toxic eco-friendly, biodegradable vegetable wax made from the soil of soy beans. It provides a clean burn and cleans up easily with just soap and water. Soy wax has longer burning life and holds onto scents very well.

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WOOD WICKS & COTTON WICKS?

- Crackling wooden wicks are 100% natural, eco-friendly and clean-burning. They are sourced from FSC certified wood & manufactured in the US. Wooden wicks are sustainable - They create a crackling sound, similar to a fireplace. Cotton wicks are much more common than wood wicks. They are the ubiquitous braided cotton dipped in wax. Each wick has unique benefits and drawbacks that make the choice a very personal one. It's simply a matter of comparing the two and see which one works best for you.  

 

CANDLE Q + A

WHY IS THE TOP OF MY CANDLE ROUGH/BUMPY AFTER I BURN MY CANDLE?

- The rough, bumpy tops after burning a soy wax candles are caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. This is a completely natural feature of 100% soy wax. This will not affect the performance of your candle.

WHY IS MY CANDLE TUNNELING?

- Tunneling is when the wick burns straight down the center of a candle without creating a full melt pool within 2 hours of being lit. It is important that your candle's first burn is 2-4 hours OR until it reaches a full melt pool before you blow your candle out. Doing this will ensure an even burn and overall increase  candle life. The first burn creates a wax memory; your candle will remember to burn evenly each time you light it which is why the first burn is so important.

WHY WONT MY WOOD WICK STAY LIT?

- During your first light, we recommend tilting your candle and lighting the edge of the wick so the flame travels from edge to edge. You may need to hold the flame to the wick for several seconds as the melted wax is fuel to your flame. Wood wicks are tricky to work with sometimes, but once they get going, the aura and sound they give is alluring.

WHY IS THERE A LOT OF SMOKE WHEN I LIGHT MY CANDLE?

- Make sure your wick is always trimmed to 1/4" before you re-light your candle! Before you re-light your candle, cut or gently pinch the burnt tips of your wick. Remember to TRIM TRIM TRIM that wick!

WHERE DO YOU SHIP?

At this time, shipping is available in the U.S.

 

WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING POLICY?

Though we aim to get your items to you as soon as possible, please allow 3-5 business days for processing. Processing time is the amount of time it takes to package and send out your order. This does not include shipping time. *During the Holidays, this timeframe can be extended by 2-4 business days.

Once shipped, delivery time within the U.S is 3-5 days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Free shipping on all orders over $75 pre-tax within the U.S. Automatically applies at checkout!

All orders are shipped via USPS Priority mail or in rare cases, UPS Ground.

 

WHERE WILL MY ITEMS FULFILL FROM?

All orders are fulfilled in our candle studio. Expect to receive tracking information per shipment (shipping confirmation email with a tracking #). 

*If for any reason you need to change or fix your shipping address, please contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. As we strive to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, changes cannot always be made.

 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds/exchanges. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. In the event your item is damaged in route or defective, please email us photos at info@scentcandleco.com within 5 business days  and we will do our best to make it right.

We are a home fragrance brand inspired by the carribean islands.

SCENT is a collection of natural home fragrance products inspired by the islands of the Carribean, Founded in 2022 by an islander woman, Nadisha.

After moving to America I was inspired to create a line of candles that would remind me of growing up on the Islands.

Each product is hand crafted in small batches in New York. SCENT is dedicated to sharing the beuty of the carribean with the rest of the world!

We believe that the power of fragrance has the ability to transport us to anywhere in the world and we are commitedto bringing the beauty of the carribean culture into the homes of our customers.

The Services contain confidential and trade secret information owned or licensed by Scent Candle Co, and you agree to take reasonable steps at all times to protect and maintain the confidentiality of such information. iii. By registering for an Account and/or placing an order, you represent that the Products ordered will be used only in a lawful manner and as intended by such manufacturer.iv. We may, without prior notice, change the Services; stop providing the Services or features of the Services, to you or to Users generally; or create usage limits for the Services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the Services without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms, or for no reason. Upon termination for any reason or no reason, you continue to be bound by these Terms.

REFUND POLICY

All of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Our return policy is 14 days. Unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund after 14 days of original purchase date. Note: The purchase of an E-Gift Card is final sale and will not be eligible for a refund and/or return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in its original packaging, unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it.

To return your item, you should email info@scentcandleco.com to initiate process.

You will be liable for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you. We will also advise you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 days.

We reserve the right to reject any returns that do not comply with the conditions stated above. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems.



Orders that return to our facilities as being undeliverable as addressed by the carriers will be subject to an automatic refund (less shipping) issued back to the original form of payment within 7 business days of its return.
